Become Like a Willow Tree

Every aspect of the Sacred Intercession Prayer Journal has meaning – from all the illustrations to all the prayers that are included. The journal’s theme is based on John 15:5 …  “I am the Vine, you are the branches”.    As I worked with the graphic designers, it was important to me that the journal’s cover and inside illustrations be a reflection of this verse.

The WILLOW TREE stands majestic, strong and filled with willowy branches that are firmly anchored by the strength and vitality of its trunk – able to bend without breaking.

WE are like the branches of this Willow Tree … As individuals of faith, we are each cast out into the world each day – stretching and blowing in the wind as we answer His call.  Yet, we too are firmly anchored by the strength and vitality of the One who calls us – Jesus Christ.

Willow Trees drink heavily from the water that surrounds them.  The river alongside this Willow Tree symbolizes the ‘river of living water’ which Jesus gives to us through His Holy Spirit.    From it we each draw the nourishment, strength and grace that is so needed in order to persevere in daily prayer and in our relationship with Jesus.

“He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither; and in whatever he does he prospers.”    Psalm 1:3

We too yield fruit in our due seasons, when we are adequately and frequently nourished by the Living Water of Christ.

It is the mission of prayer that will bear great fruit in the lives of those around us.

Say yes to the mission and work of prayer.  Become a branch of the True Vine – Jesus Christ.

Testimonies

I absolutely love this journal. I’ve never been one to write in a journal but for 3 years now I have bought the Sacred Intersession Prayer Journal. I don’t always use it as much as I think I should but, it is always there for me when I feel like writing down who I promised to pray for. I love the scripture prayers that are all ready to use.
